I put Roger to sleep in the spare room and Scott quickly fell asleep on the couch as I pretended to be preoccupied upstairs.
Glad I stayed sober last night.

A new lesson
I had my first court date on February 15 for my DUI. Even though it was just a preliminary hearing where they lecture you about the perils of drunk driving and the use of drugs, I was pretty nervous. I wasn't sure what to expect exactly.
My friend Wade said that he would go with me as moral support but he bailed because he had gotten too drunk the night before. Why do people offer to help if they don't want to actually help. It's stupid. I hadn't even thought about taking anyone with me until he asked if I needed a friend. Douche bag...whatever.
So the night before I go out with Abbie and some of her friends to the Brew Pub. Big mistake. Abbie is pretty mean when she drinks red wine for some reason and apparently that's what they had been slurping before they picked me up at Glory Days.
She fought with the bartender and then when I got a server to bring us our drinks right away she began to go off on him for the bartender's lack of acknowledgement towards her. In other words, she was being a real bitch!
So I'm talking to my friend Eric(who's in the program) about computer tech when she decides she is ready to leave. She starts kirking out so I tell her to just leave but ask if she could get her ride to pull up to front door so that I could grab my bookbag (one of the joys of not driving is that I get to carry around my bookbag full of work crap everywhere) out of the car. She's cool with that and leaves a little later. Next thing I know she comes stomping in carrying my bag and looking pissed. I found out later it was because she had to walk the 5 steps to bring it to me.
My night continues to get better as I am invited to stay with boy I've been crushing on. We both decide it's a good idea for me to stay at his house since it's downtown and I won't have to attempt to find a ride to court in the morning. Big mistake.
Lesson here kids: Don't sleep with a guy until you really know him well. And of course I don't mean sex. That's an obvious statement. What I mean is that when you snore very loud while sleeping don't assume that the guy will still like you the next morning after you have kept him up all night.

What I learned this weekend...
1. My goddaughter is the second strongest person I know when it comes to dealing with pain.
2. When moving it is a fantastic idea to have 10 year old boys, chocolate, and Coca Cola handy.
3. Always be nice to your guy friends newest girlfriends.
4. You don't need to have a date or special someone in order to have a spectacular Valentine's Day.
5. Cabs are fucking expensive. DUI's cost more.
6. My ex-boyfriend can be a nice guy sometimes. Even when I ask him for favors. Huh!
7. The people that use the Winchester transit system on a daily basis are loco.
8. AT&T phone reps are super cool when you tell them to have a super V Day. They will even give you shit for free!
9. I do have the ability to catch feelings for others. Thought that part of me was massacred long ago.
10. Crushes are called crushes because at first you feel elated but any one thing that goes wrong can make you feel like you've just crashed into a brick wall in a car with no airbags or seat belts.
11. I'm a criminal.
12. I snore too loud when I drink to try and sleep in a room with two other people.
13. When I get embarrassed my chest begins to itch between my boobies and I can't stop giggling. Hmmm should probably leave that out.

Jonathan is an asshole
So I saw my friend Jon last night at the bar. He is the same "bestfriend" that left me stranded after my DUI. I spoke to our mutual friends and then moved on. I didn't say anything deragatory towards him nor did I call any attention to his presence. When I logged on to my MySpace the next day he had posted a bulletin. It was a survey and this is what it said:

Bees in the pine tree
Shouldn't that red breasted robin be gone by now? It's late November, almost December. I saw it playing with a woodpecker. In front on the tree with few berries and no leaves. My calendar still says July. It's warm enough outside to venture out for a smoke with no coat.
I awoke at 6 am again. Alert and ready to go. The sun was rising outside and the orange behind the nearly skeletal trees was quite strange. Everything has started over again and yet I'm still here in the same place I was the day, week, and month before.
The test said that little boy was illegitimate. It's probably for the best anyhow. Wouldn't you rather have someone be gone and unknown than to have it be obvious that they just can't make time for you? Your father may have planned for your birth but he sure didn't plan for anything that followed.

As we were walking down Cameron Street I decided that I wanted to go home. Big mistake. I hailed a cab and got in without realizing that the driver was the same douche bag that hit my truck last year without paying for the damage. We began to get into it because he of course recognized me. I told him to drop me off in front of Milano's.
When I got out Mitch was just leaving the bar. He told me that he didn't have a place to stay and that he was just bumming around. I got into my car crying because there was nothing I could do for him. I see a lot of myself in Mitch and often worry that I'll be in his spot in a few years or even months.
I wiped my tears as I began to drive away and crested towards home. I only made it halfway before I saw red and blue lights in the rearview mirror. The cop that pulled me over was patient. I lied when I told him that I had only had 2 drinks that night. Directly outside of the middle school where only a year ago I was a student teacher for an ESL course, I was arrested for a DUI.
That night I blew a .2 in front of my friend's jetta that i was borrowing. I cried all the way to the station. Then a few hours later I blew a .16. They gave me a certificate and everything!
The next day after blowing for 3 hours after I waking up I was finally released. The cop asked me if I wanted to call anyone but since they had left my cell in Matt's car I told him I would call a cab if he could get the number for me. I called Polly's and the bitch on the other end said it would be there shortly. Unfortunately the magistrate took twenty minutes to configure my bond.
By the time my face finally saw the sunlight at 11 the next morning the cab was either gone or had never shown up. I had no choice from there.
I started walking. I was so thirsty walking to route 7 I was looking at rain puddles on the side of the road considering to sit down and start slurping.
The first pay phone I got to I called the only local number I could remember. But since I called collect Jon didn't pick up. His phone doesn't allow collect calls. I walked to the Shoney's Inn thinking that I could at least get some ice cubes from the vending room. But of course it was out.
I didn't know what to do so I just sat on the steps and smoked a cigarette. I was all cried out and far past the point when I thought that would do any good. I knew that my house was too far away to walk to so I decided to walk to Scarlett and Isa's house. On the way I passed Nicky P.'s house and I guess he saw me through his living room window.
He asked me to come inside...

What an idiot I am.
Chrissy has been in the hospital since Thursday morning. I've been visiting her everyday so that she doesn't overthink while she is there. Sunday night I was supposed to go to the hospital after work and then drop the Jetta off at Matt's house. Instead, I went to Dungbeetles and drank with Kenny, TJ, and Craig. I had several shots with TJ because his lady just broke his heart. After the boys left I ran home to grab some extra cash. Unfortunately Jonathan and I headed over to Milano's to cap off the night.
Apparently we weren't the only ones with this idea. The place was packed. My roommate was there with a table full of people but I headed for the bar. My friend Doug was sitting there with some of the prominent members of Winc Inc. He and I began to talk about life, new years, and people we know. Together we racked up lots o shot's. Jagermeister is my thing so by now I was probably 10 deep. Not to mention my 2 margaritas and several vodka cranberries.
After last call we all left the bar and headed to a friend's house.
